Why wasn't my startup approved on Best of Web?
At bestofweb.site, we aim to list only high-quality startups to help them find customers, raise funds, or sell their business. To maintain this standard for our community of investors and users, we manually vet every submission.
Common Rejection Reasons
If your startup was not approved, it is likely due to one of the following issues:
1. Ineligible Business Category
We focus specifically on Startups and Scalable Businesses. Your application may be rejected if your site is:
- Another startup or link directory.
- A standard blog or content-only site.
- A general online shop or dropshipping store.
2. Branding & Image Quality
First impressions are vital for your growth. We reject listings that feature:
- Low-quality, pixelated, or blurry logos.
- Missing or generic profile images.
3. Incorrect Founder Information
We see this mistake often: Do not use your startup name or logo as the founder’s name and photo. We want to see the real people behind the business. Please provide authentic founder profiles to build trust with potential partners.
4. Broken Links
We cannot list a business we cannot visit. Your submission will be rejected if:
- The link to your startup website is broken (404 error).
- Social media links (LinkedIn, X, etc.) are dead or incorrect.
Can I try again?
Yes! We encourage you to fix the issues mentioned above and resubmit your startup. Once your profile meets our quality guidelines, our team will be happy to review it again for a listing on Best of Web.
