
Perk Approval Guide
We built the Perks Directory to help you find new customers and give our community great deals. Every Founders Club member can list an offer to gain visibility and grow their user base.
To keep the quality high, we review every submission by hand. If your perk was not approved, it is usually a quick fix. Here is how to make sure your perk goes live.
3 Steps to Get Approved
1. Make it Exclusive
Our members look for deals they cannot find anywhere else.
- The Rule: Your offer must be special for Best of Web members.
- Why perks get rejected: If you submit the same 10% discount that is already on your homepage for everyone, it is not a "perk."
- The Fix: Give our members a higher discount, a longer trial, or a unique bonus just for this community.
2. Use a Dedicated Landing Page
You cannot link to your homepage or a generic signup screen.
- The Rule: You must create a specific page on your site (for example: yourstartup.com/bestofweb).
- Why perks get rejected: When a user clicks your perk, they need to see that the offer is real. A generic page is confusing and leads to fewer signups.
- The Fix: Build a simple page that says: "Welcome Best of Web members! Use this code for your special deal."
3. Verification & Trust
This is a partnership. We need to see that your landing page is connected to our community.
- The Rule: Your dedicated landing page must mention "Best of Web" and link back to your Startup Profile on our site.
- Why perks get rejected: We use this link to verify that the perk is official. It helps our users feel safe clicking the "Redeem" button.
- The Fix: Add a small note in the footer or text of your page: "Find us on Best of Web".
What happens next?
After you make these changes, submit your perk again. We review resubmissions within 24-48 hours. Once approved, your startup will be live in the directory and visible to the whole community.
